Information – Hill Farm is just down the road from Ashridge. It is pretty small but is a nice place to visit for a few hours even our 9 year old enjoyed herself. The farm has Shetland ponies, goats, pigs, chickens, guinea pigs and rabbits and you buy feed for them for £1 in the cafe. The café onsite is really lovely, its in a barn which is very pretty and as well as food and drink they sell local produce including farm grown vegetables and homemade soap,

As well as the animals, out in the field there are plenty of places to sit (thought picnics aren’t allowed), there is a tractor that the kids can play on and also a little sandpit, with toys in for them to play with.

In the barn theres some hands on opportunities for children, where they can see how flour is made though this isnt lead by anyone.

There is a portaloo onsite you can use and its ok for buggies but theres steps into the barn. We spent about an hour and a half there but you could stretch it out longer if you were to have lunch. It is open Friday – Monday from 10-4 (including bank holidays) and dogs are welcome to visit too but must be kept on a lead.
