Fantastic Feb Fest, events this february half term in Luton

 

Full House Theatre have been running Feb Fest since 2014. They have a really really lovely mission “We exist to enrich young creative minds, delight young audiences, and nurture a lifelong connection with the arts”. They are known for handpicking some of the UKs best arts events and activities and their line up is full of some seriously engaging activities to encourage of a child’s creative side and imagination. You can expect some family fun that will entice and captivate children of all ages.

This years magical Feb Fest line up will be no different, with a host of performances, workshops, storytelling and dance suitable for families, being held across the Culture Luton’s venues.

I always love the events at The Culture Trust Luton – the kids have always really enjoyed them and these look very good (as always!).

Charmane 
15th February
Suitable for age 5+

Charmane is a cute puppet show with a really lovely story for children. It is a story about a kitten and her friend. The kitten, doesnt feel like a kitten on the inside. Charmane it is a subtle exploration into gender and is a story about acceptance, courage and learning to find your inner ROAR.

Imagination Station
17th -21st February
Suitable for families

Over the week Full House Theatre are running a selection of fun, FREE drop in sessions. These sessions include arts and crafts, face painting, dancing and much more! A great opportunity to get out with the little ones (whatever their age) and get creative or even have them try new things in the warm (if the weather is bad even better!).

Muckers
17th February
Suitable for ages 7+

This colourful performance is one that is aimed at older children and is suitable from ages 7+. The story follows Paloma on her magnetic and captivating journey, a quest for self acceptance with original songs and a lot of Spanish! Take a look at the link below to see a video and to find out more.

Trunk Tails
18th-19th February
Suitable for ages 4+

I really love a show like this! I haven’t seen this exact one myself but this is an interactive storytelling show. These are always so good as they are intimate and allow the  children to really get involved in the story, your little ones are going to be truly captivated while being taken on a trip around the globe!

Gulp 
19th February
Suitable for ages 7+

Another one that is aimed at slightly older children, this performance is a  moving and magical story dripping with fun, unexpected twists and turns! The show includes some live beatboxing (which should be really cool) and if you go, watch out for the water pistol fight! You might get squirted!

Little Darling
20th February
Suitable for ages 4+

If you ever watched Peter Pan you will be familiar with all the weird and wonderful experiences of the Darling children, This performance allows you to join the now grown up , littlest of the Darling children as he tries to make sense of his childhood and the memory of Peter Pan.

It features fantastic music by BAFTA nominated composer It has been written for over 4s but it suitable for all ages so you can take along younger ones if you like,

Taleshakers 
21st February
Suitable for ages 0-6

Run by my wonderfully talented friend, this fun filled family focused session combines storytelling, games and movement. It perfect for children aged 6 and under so bring along your babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and younger children for 45 minutes of fun!

Chloe and the Colour Catcher 
21st February
Suitable for ages 4-7

This visual performance transforms the theatre into a vibrant world of colour and rhyme! The story follows Chloe on her journey to unleash all seven shades of the rainbow. It is a tale of bravery, self-expression and fighting for what your heart knows to be true and is suitable for ages 4-7.
