Bayford Charity Musical Gardens Day

30th ANNIVERSARY OF BAYFORD’S MUSICAL GARDENS DAY AIMS TO RAISE £30,000 FOR CHARITY

Bayford celebrates the 30th anniversary of its’ biennial Musical Gardens Day on 17th June 2018 when it opens it gardens to the public to raise money for local community charities, The National Gardens Scheme, the NSPCC and Red Cross. This year the Bayford team have challenged themselves to raise £30,000 to bring the total raised over the past 30 years to £300,000.

There are plenty of outdoor space for the family to enjoy and with live bands, including Brass, Steel, Jazz and Acoustic sets there will be a great atmosphere!. This year, the event will be held on Father’s Day. Dads of all ages are invited to enjoy the various bbqs and beer tents, whilst their little ones run around hunting for knitted animals on the children’s’ trail!

A community event, Bayford’s Musical Garden Day is part of the National Gardens Scheme and is organised by a team of local residents led by Charles Lambert. He said: “I am extremely excited to be celebrating our 30th year, aiming to raise £30,000 this year for charity, and reaching our £300,000 cumulative target.”

“I really love the community in Bayford and it’s wonderful to be able to welcome families from all over the country to our village and watch them enjoying a fabulous day out.”

Bayford, Hertfordshire, remains an oasis of countryside despite being just 3 miles south of the county town of Hertford and 10 minutes from Potters Bar. Easily accessible by rail, it has a mainline train station with direct links into Finsbury Park and Moorgate. Mentioned in the Domesday Book as Begesford, the village retails much of its old world charm including a church and village duck pond.

Tickets for the Musical Gardens Day are on sale now and priced at £10 per adult. Children up to 16 can visit for free when accompanied by an adult. Tickets are available online at Bayfordgardensday.org.
