Finding a family day out that ticks all the right boxes can be a challenge, but that’s exactly what inaugural country show Wild Tweed has harnessed. With a particular focus on children, the show promises to bring together the great outdoors with quintessential English luxury,  a combination rarely seen (how cool does that sound!). Coined as the ‘definitive country show’, and with a big focus on merrymaking, this two day event on 6th and 7th May boasts an exciting mix of fun-filled activities and adventures, set to showcase the very best in family entertainment. There will be outdoor pursuits, music and food, plus a unique range of crafts, sports and workshops, many of which have been designed especially for the event.

Prepare to be dazzled by critically acclaimed and award winning magicians Morgan & West, who promise to deliver brain boggling illusion and good old fashioned tom-foolery for ages five to 105! For the adventurous there is archery and the fun Wellyboot Blast, plus the National Trust will be running outdoor activities for the under sevens. The show will also see the launch of the Wild Tweed Young Photographer Competition 2018, with this years’ brief: ’Ingredients’.

For those budding creatives, the award winning watercolour artist Emma Benz is running not-to-be-missed art classes. Also on hand to inspire young minds is the brilliant Illustrator and writer Zehra Hicks, who will read from her new book Giraffe and Frog and guide children in creating their own illustrations. Children’s author Laura James will provide some interactive storytelling and will read from her latest book in the Adventures of Pug series, Safari Pug, with the opportunity to create characters with Laura and take part in a fun quiz.

For a really good day out, with fun, food and family entertainment, Wild Tweed ticks all the boxes. Tickets can be purchased online, with 20% off for customers using FRIENDS20 at checkout.
