Discounted advance tickets are currently available for their Santa Spectacular event which runs between 22nd November and 24th December. I have heard some really great things about the event from my readers and it sounds so magical!!
Every child meets Santa in his grotto and receives a golden key to Santa’s Toy Shop, where they can choose from one of the hundreds of presents, to take home. Families can join in at the Elf Academy, learning the basics of how to be an elf from Santa’s elves – including the Elf-a-bet! The Create-a-Cuddle workshop will also be open daily, allowing little ones to make their very own reindeer cuddly toy to take home, all included in the entrance price.
Children also have the chance to create a 3D film there they take off into the skies on an adventure with Santa. Then try a real life magical ride in the Willows festive wood on Tristan the Runaway Tractor.
During this time there are lots of other indoor activities including the synthetic ice rink, Christmas shows including an Elf Sing-a-Long and Nativity performances featuring farm animals. Plus, meet Mischka, the Alaskan Malamute and Santa’s reindeer. You can see a video on their website – be prepared to feel all Christmassy :).

Having heard some great reviews from some of my readers, my family and I took a visit to Willows Farm a few weeks ago and we had such a good time. In all honesty I was a little sad that I hadn’t taken my kids (4 and 7) when they were younger as they would have LOVED it even more as toddlers/pre schoolers. It would be a great treat day and is so huge that it kept us busy all day and even though the weather wasnt great when we went there was still lots to do.
I liked that once you are in the park lots of things are included in your entrance fee that I wouldn’t have normally expected – things like meet and greet with characters, water shooters, shows and panning for gold. The farm is very much geared towards younger children and is ideal for toddlers and pre schoolers but there are things to keep older kids amused too – this place would be great to get annual membership to if you wanted to enjoy some time with younger children before they started school. We went on a drizzly day and there were a good few things to do inside and under cover.
The tractor ride is the best one I have been on – it was a nice length ride and took you around a different area of the farm you wouldn’t otherwise see. there was plenty to see on the ride and you didn’t end up facing a hedge like you can at some farms.The indoor play areas were great and included a play village and standard soft play plus an amazing chicken shoot out area that was by far my kids favorite part – we spent ages in there shooting soft balls at each other.
There are lots of animals to see and I loved the guinea pig handling (but then I love guinea pigs!). There are animals throughout the whole park mixed amongst some great outdoor play areas. The staff were great! and they had regular shows on throughout the day which were amazing. They really got the younger kids up and dancing and got everyone involved.
The new Peter Rabbit play area was so good. My girls loved it and carried out some great imaginative play – pretending to be running away from Mr McGreggor. My youngest always loved Peter Rabbit and it was so special to see her face running around there..any one with a mini Peter Rabbit fan really has to go to this place.
Both my girls want to go back and have been bugging me ever since :).
